Matthew purchased Wolds back in 2020, having a true belief in the company’s ethos, traditional craftsmanship and quality of the product. The principles he instils run through the core of the business which has now gone from strength to strength and has proven to be a successful partnering company to York Property Solutions, of which Matthew is company director and founder.
Sarah graduated from University and worked for Jewson before joining our partnering company York Property Solutions. Sarah now works as supply chain manager for both companies. Her determination and knowledge ensures we get the best possible value for all our clients. She drives our procurement process and works meticulously with all our supply chain and construction team to guarantee our Wolds standards are delivered.
Showroom & Interiors Manager
Kate has a passion and natural eye for interior design and finishes. Kate has an excellent relationship with our internal team and soft finishing suppliers. With Kate’s experience and strong knowledge of the industry we are able to offer our clients a full interior design service.
With a background working in high end residential developments, Matt is perfectly placed to work on the bespoke and varied nature of Wolds projects. He brings his knowledge of managing trades and design teams, coupled with honesty to deliver Wolds projects with care and integrity.
Kitchens & Interiors Designer
Craig joined the Wolds team at the end of 2023 as our Kitchens & Interiors Designer. He’s based at our East Yorkshire Showroom and designs all Wolds bespoke furniture from scratch, listening to our customers’ ideas and creating bespoke designs to bring their vision to life. Craig studied a degree in Furniture Design at Brunel University and has spent over three decades since designing, building and installing high-end furniture down south and for the last 10 years in Yorkshire. When Craig first visited Wolds, he fell in love with our products and we’re delighted to have him as part of the Wolds family.
Gavin works with our customers from design stage through to completion of installation. His knowledge and skillsets of all trades are second to none and he takes real pride in his work. He lives and breathes quality and customer satisfaction.
Peter has been head carpenter for over 25 years in our Wolds workshop. The quality of his craftsmanship is second to none, ensuring each element of our handcrafted furniture is of the highest quality. Peter has passed on his traditional and time-honoured techniques to many of our apprentice’s among the years, ensuring the quality and skill-set remain strong for our craftsmanship is instilled in our workshop for many years to come.
Gavin cuts and prepares all our wood for each project, from a large-scale kitchen to a bathroom vanity unit. Gavin selects only the very best timber and works alongside our workshop manager Peter, overseeing each aspect of the process within the workshop. Gavin also quality checks each individual piece of furniture to ensure the product is of the highest standard before being delivered to our client.
